MENACE TO BELFAST.
7000 ARMED HOOLIGANS. ENEMIES OF ORDER. Australian and N-Z. Cable Association. (Beod. 5.30 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 6. At em inquest on 19 victims of the recent disorders in Belfast a police inspector declared that about 7000 Belfast men of the hooligan type possessed revolvers, which, he believed, came from tho United States. Until these men were disarmed, he could not seo any remedy for the menace. These armed men belonged to no particular party. The coroner expressed the opinion there was a large Bolshevik element fanning sectarian strife in order to capture and plunder Belfast. The jury's verdict was wilful pjurder against members of an unlawful association. The police raided a republican army camp numbering 600 nen near Dromore, Tyrone, and iaptured a large quantity of armß. They arrested 11 persons. Four armed men held tip the staff of the Hibernian bank at. Inchicore, Dublin, and stole £400.
