L A drought, which is ruling in Northern Italy, is the worst experienced for thiee centuries. It is affecting the undertakings dependent on water power, and compelling them to restrict their output. In Milan tho electric lighting has been reduced, and the theatres are closing for two nights each week to economise the light.
