GOLF.
TOW ZEALAND OPEN CHAMPION. The New Zealand Golf Association is meeting with excellent support from the clubs in the matter of their proposal to raise a fund for the purpose ,of enabling the New Zealand open champion. E. S. Douglas, to go Home and compete in the next British open championship at Sandwich, and the council hopes that el) club members will eunport their clubs by assisting. Douglas was the winner of the New Zealand open championship in 1915, 1914. 1919, and 1921. From early in 1915 until the beginning of 1919 he was on active service.
