NORTHERN IRELAND.
PARLIAMENT PROROGUES. VICEROY'S PRAYER FOR PEACE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Eecd. 6.55 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 15. The Northern Irish Parliament has been prorogued. The Lord-Lieutenant in his speech earnestly prayed that the efforts of the British Government to secure peace in Ireland might meet with success, so that when the Parliament was next summoned it would be under far different circumstances from those that lay behind.
