A letter was received from the department stating that after Januaiy 1 pupils of secondary departments of district high schools would not be entitled to payment of conveyance and boarding allowance. A deputation from the Takanini Welfare League, headed by Mr. T. H. Sandford,, requested that renewed application be made to the department for the erection of a school at Takanini.
