To have conducted an establish' ment such as this for over 20 years, and to have given entire satisfaction to customers during that period, is surely a record to be proud of. The methodical manner in which the stock is selected, shows that the first consideration of the proprietor is his clients. He knows exactly what, each, man wants, and fills- his shelves accordingly, great quantities of Havelock, Capstan, Yankee Doodle, Golden Eagle, Welcome Nugget, Three Castles, Melrose, and dozens of other varieties' are stocked, for each of which there is a ready and steady sale. A feature is made of cigars. Some of the leading lines are:—Havana, Corona, J., S. Murias, l'artagas; Manila, La Garilda, Maria Cristina, La Perla del Oriente, and these can be bad in boxes of 100, 50, and 26. Nothing pleases & cigar smoker better than a well matured cigar, and Mr. Simmonds does not keep any that are not properly seasoned. The array of pipesstocked m remarkable for variety and quality. Special attention has been paid to the selection of case pipes, suitable for presentation purposes. A wide range in sizes and shapes of these being stocked. Silver cigarette cases for ladies and gentleman- are also featured, and pouches, gold ajuj silver mounted, and plain robber alone make a formidable display. In pipes for every day use there fa a large assortment, including every popular shape and brand on the market. Some of- these are the Dimhill, Leowe, 8.8.8, Own Make, Barling, Shell Briar, Uttima Thule, and so on, right down to the cheaper grades of good quality, to suit the most slender purse, The cigarette smoker is liberally catered for. and all the popular and high-class brands are stocked for them to choose from. A specialty Is made of Egyptian, Turkish, and Virginian brands. The collection of razors is very large. In safeties there are the Valet Auto-Strop and b'ades, and the Gillette and blades, while among other brands Mr. Simmonds has the famous- Bengali blade and Roxo razors. Strops are stocked in great variety, anjd ea'eable at a wide range of prices,- and he has a good quantity of razor hones for private use. The show of walking-Jticks, goldi and silver-mounted, and plain, is a particularly fine one, there being a large assortment to choose from, h fino the establishment controlled; by Mr. Simmonds is designed to meet all demands by patrons. It is as the Americans say, " 100 per cent, grade all through."
