ACCIDENT IN A MINE.
STRUCK BY FALLING ROCK. WORKER FALLS MOM LADDER. [BY IQLKQBAPp.—OWN CORBESPONDBKT.J / WAIHI, Tuesday. An accident occurred in the Grand Junction mine this afternoon, the victim being ■,a miner.: named Charles Rickards. He was at the time liome 25ft. to 30ft. up the ladder-way over No. 6 level, when a piece \oi rock came away from overhead, striking, on the head and stunning him. Losing his grip ho fell to the floor sutainnig bruises .and abrasions, and it is feared injuries to his spine. He is under treatment at the district hospital,
