GALLANT STAND UNAVAILING. DISAVOWAL BY AFGHANS. A. and N.Z. DELHI, Dec. 2. Further details .of the Waziri raid from Afghanistan show that the officers killed were Captain Entwistle and Lieut. Garrett, of the 92nd Puujabs. The former was killed while gallantly leading a counter-attack. . He was wounded early, but continued to lead his men until killed, rhe command devolved on a Sikh officer, and the small band fought gallantly to the last man under him. The casualties were two British officers and 39 Indian rant and file killed, 21' Indian rank and file and 20 taken prisoner. Seventeen were subsequently released./ The Afghanistan Government > expressed to Sir Henry. Dobbs, British agent at Kabul, its abhorrence at the outrage and profound regret.
