MINERS DIVIDED.
HUNTLY CONTINUES WORK. DECISION OF THE MEN. OTHER MINES STILL IDLE'. The Huntly miners yesterday decided, by a three-to-one majority, not to 6trike at present. The position is that whereas the miners at Rotowaro and Pukemiro are still on strike, those employed at the Taupiri Extended mine remain at work. It is atated that the Pukemiro and Rotowaro men ceased work on instructions from the Miners' Federation, while the decision reached yesterday by the Huntly men was the result of advice from the Alliance of Labour to remain at work until further notice. DECISION AT (JRAItITY. ' MAJORITY AGAINST STRIKE. [bx telegraph.— pbess association.] WESTPOKT, Sunday. At a meeting of the Granity Miners' Union to-day it was resolved by a small majority to continue working There are employed at this mine all to.d about 470 men. The Stockton miners also held a meeting) but have not yet reached a decision. The Westport and Denniston Union holds a meeting to-morrow.
