Tho demonstration organised by the Ulster Unionist Council in Belfast protesting against the Government's policy was attended by 10,000 Loyalists. Tho Lord Mayor presided. The Premier of Ulster, Sir James Craig, telegraphed:—" I ask you to support my colleagues and myself in every step we consider necessary to maintain freedom from Sinn Fein domination, while still striving for an honourable peace, honour, and prestige. Perhaps the whole futuro of the Empire is at stake."

Sir Robert Anderson, M.P., proposing a resolution supporting Sir James Craig's action, 6aid Ulster's feelings against the Dublin Parliament was now ton-fold stronger than cvor. Ulster would not submit to bo vassal to a Sinn Fein Government.

The Rev. J. Irwin, ex-Moderator of tho Irish Presbyterian Church, said Ulsteritos would follow Sir James Craig wherever he led.

The resolution was adopted with enthusiasm. Mr. T. W. Brown, recently appointed Attornoy-Goneral for Ulster, has resigned in consequence of disagreement with the Government's policy.
