SCHOOL INSPECTORS.
INSTITUTE IN AUSTRALIA. POSITION OF NEW ZEALAND. " That this conference affirms the desirability of establishing an Australian institute of inspectors of schools." Tljis was a resolution passed by' the Australian Conference of Inspectors in Sydney recentlv. It was also decided that the officers of the Institute of Inspectors in New South Wales be requested to arrange for the establishment of the institute. The motion was at first for an Australian and New Zealand institute, but delegates raised the question whether New Zealand would be willing to come in. The general secretary, Mr. E. A. Riley, stated that from correspondence with the Inspectors' Association in New Zealand he was certain New Zealand would welcome the formation of an institute.
