THE ROTOWARO FIRE.
NO. 1 MINE SEALED UP.
TWO SHIFTS AT HUNTLY.
The Rotowaro No. 1 coal mine, which has been idle for over a weok, owing to a fire breaking out in it, has been sealed up, to prevent the outbreak spreading. It is understood that a trial survey of the mine will be made about the end of this week, to ascertain if the fire has djed out A double shift was worked at the Taupiri Extended mine yesterday, a number of the Rotowaro men having been transferred to Huntly until operations are resumed at Rotowaro No. 1 mine.
