AMERICAN UNIONISM.
ATTACK BY MEAT COMPANIES. A. and N.Z. CHICAGO, Sept. 15.
The Armour, Swift, Wilson, and Cudahy packing companies have established the " open shop" system, and have notified trades unions that only employees, and not union officials, will bo dealt with in future.
The companies announce that 90 per cent, of their 7500 employees voted in favour of the plan.
