POLICE FIND LARGE STORE,
LOST HAT GIVES THE OU7& Stolen goods valued at about £100 were/ found in a house at Ponsoaby by the police following the arrest of a womaa yesterday afternoon for the alleged theft of a hat. The hat was taken from a shop is( Karangahape Road a week ago, and its disappearance was investigated by Detec-tive-Sergeant R. J. Issell. A woman was seen in Karangafaaps Road yesterday after- | noon wearing the hat, and was taken to the Newton police station, where, it'is ■ stated, after being questioned, she &d«: mitted the theft. C A visit was then paid by Detective.--'' Issell and Constable McCamj to a resideraa ... in Ponsonby, where a variety of ariades* . valued at about £100, which had been stolen from different shops in the city aid ; Newton, were recovered.
