A charge of having committed bigamy was admitted by George Martin, & labourer, w who appeared before Mr. J. W Poynton, S.M., in thu Police Court, yesterday. it waa shown that accused was rnamsd at the office of the Registrar of Marriages, Auckland, on August 28, 1919 and that on July 9, 1921, befog then mar-' ned, went through a fprm of marriage with another young woman at the same °® ra _ , , ycnn § woman gave evidence to the effect 'hat she had known accused for al>out. a year, and during that time they had " kept company." He told her he had been divorced. She subsequently went through the form of marriage with him at the registrar's office, Auckland.
