As part o? the final effort to raise £5000 in order to send out the Southern Cn#s to Melanesia next week a sale of valuable gifts is to take place in Bisbopscourt library, Parnell, to-morrow afternoon and evening. Many gifte have been received and patrons are promised tjood value. The remainder wxL! be sole by auction at 8 p.m. Two open-air stalls, one at St. Paul's Parish War Memorial and the other at Grafton Bridge, will be held on Friday by the Ladies of St. Paul's parish, and plants, jams, cakes, and groceries wi]] be on sale. The appeal closes officially on Thursday, and the treasurer, the Rev. J. L. A. Eavll, requests that all moneys collected shall ba to" warded to him by that day.
