LABOUR CONFERENCE.
WORK AND IMMIGRATION. [BY TKUtaaAPH— PBESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. A conference of Labour organisations convened by the Alliance of Labour as' sembled in the Trades Hall this morning to discuss questions of unemployment and immigration. Altogether there were 72 delegates present, representing workers throughout the Dominion. Mr W J Mack secretary of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, presided. Mr. J. Roberts, sec/etarv of the Waterside Workers' Federation, was appointed secretary. The conference is not open to the press. The proceedings are likely to last for several days as it is intended to frame definuo proposals regarding feofcb subjects Jiadar consideration. *
