• WOMAN VICTIM IDENTIFIED. MANY MORE MISSING. I A. and N.Z. LONDON. Aug. 26. In connection with the discovery of i portions of a woman's body in the Seine I on Wednesday, the mother of the victim j has identified them by a scar as those of i her daughter, Alexandrine Yvonne, aged 25. The police are seaching for a man named Julien. an habitue of dance- halls, with whom Alexandrine was last seen. | He is alleged to have exercised magnetic ! influence over women. I The Paris correspondent of the Morning Post states that following the discovery the police have been i deluged with reports of missing girls, a , total of 211 having already been received. I The police believe that the majority of I these disappeared voluntarily to escape im portunate lovers, or because they did not desire arranged marriages.
