EPSOM SCHOOL GROUNDS.
The Epsom School Grounds Improvement Committee met last evening Mr. R. G. Clarke presiding over a large attendance. The secretary reported that the sum of £150 was now in hand, and as this amount will carry the Government subsidy* of. £ for £ half of the amount required for the scheme was in sight. The final arrangements were made for a systematic canvass of the district for subscriptions to the fund. It was confidentlvexpected that the sum required in connection with the work will be raised.
