RETURNS FOR CHIEF PORTS.

AUCKLAND'S SHARE OF IMPORTS.

Thursday. .Tlie Gazette contains a return showing the value of the imports and exports at the several ports of New Zealand during the quarter ending June 30, 1921. as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year. The return shows that the imports from the United Kingdom for the last quarter totalled £6.0137616, as compared with £6,595,259 for the June quarter of 1920. while the grand total of imports was £12,552,365 in the last quarter as against £14,407,613 in the June quarter of 1920. On the other hand, the Dominion's exports to the United Kingdom totalled £12,155,818, against £7,715,129 for the corresponding period of last year. The whole of the Dominion exports for the quarter just- closed totalled £14,008.233 against £11,406,084 in the corresponding quarter of 193). The total value of the imports at the principal ports was as follows: —
