Public notice is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Auckland" City Council, convened for the purpose, and held on THURSDAY, the 30th day of June, 1921, the following Resolution was passed, and will bo submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held TO-NIGHT (Thursday), the 28th day of July, 1921. at i 7 o'clock, in the Council Chamber, Town' Hall. Queen Street, viz.:— The purport of the said By-law is to amend the By-law No. 13, made and passed on the 19th day' of February, 1920, extending and amending By-law No. 1 of tho City of Auckland, made on the 19th day of April, 1917. viz:— 1. This By-law shall be read with and as extending and amending By-law No. 1 (and No. 13) of tho City of Auckland. 2. Section 6 of By-law No. 13 is hereby amended by deleting therefrom in Sub-section B. the words Karangahape Road, and by adding thereto Subparagraph 8.1., as follows:—. 8.1. No person shall leave any vehicle unattended for more than 30 minutes at any time in Karangahape Road. 3. Section 837, Sub-section A of By-law No. 1 is hereby extended by adding the following words after the word " Street ":— Provided, however, that where a Motor-car is standing under the /;lare of a street lamp, ii Bhall not bo necessary to provide any motor-car with lights while such Motor-car remains stationary under tho glaro of any street lamp. i. IN RESPECT OF HOARDINGS. Section 291 of By-lav/ No. 1 is hereby amended and extended by adding: — 1. Provided, however, that no hoarding will be permitted to be erected in any street or portion of a street that is wholly or mainly occupied by residences. 2. That no hoarding will be permitted to be erected adjacent to any public park, recreation ground or reserve, vested in the City Council. 3. That no hoarding will be permitted in such streets or portions of streets .(in addition to these) described in .No. 1 hereof, in which the Council shall by resolution from time to time prohibit tho erection of hoard•ings. Sub-seition (e) bf Section 291. of By-law No. 1 is hereby repealed, and in lieu thereof the following is enacted:— That the licensee of every licensed hoarding shall pay to the Council a license fee at the rate of 2s per square yard per annum, commencing on the Ist day of April in each year. But in no caso shall such fee be less than 20s per annum. Such fee shall in every case be payable halfyearly in advance. A copy of the said By-law is deposited in the Office of the Town Clerk.
