BOY SCOUTS' COMPETITION.

THE KING'S STANDARD. PRESENTATION ON SATURDAY This year's winners of the King's Standard, presented some years ago by His Majesty for competition among the Dominion boy scouts, are the 24 members of the Grey Lynn No. 1 Troop. All but one of the members of the troop have become King's scouts by examination. The gaining of the Standard reflects credit not only upon the boys themselves but. also upon Scoutmaster L. C. Rasmussen and bis assistants, who have been responsible for their training. A telegram was received yesterday from Captain D. C. W. Cossgrove, Chief Scout Commissioner, to the effect that he will be visiting Auckland this week, and will present the Standard to the winning troop at the production of the film, " 50.000 Miles with the Prince," at the Town Hall on Saturday afternoon. On that occasion it is expected there will be a good muster of boy scouts, members of the Young Citizens' League, a troop of girl peace scouts, and a large number of other young folks.
