During the sitting of the New Zealand Farmers' Union conference to-day a presentation of to album and address was made to Sir James Wilson, patron of the union, who fur many yews was president, and who intends to continue his association with tho union. Reference was also mad:: to his services as a member of Parliament for 14 years prior to 1896, also to his work on various local bodies in the Manawatu district. He pointed out that in many ways it had been of value to the community. Dr. C. J.
