MORRINSVILLE FINANCES.
MONEY FOR WATERWORKS. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MORRINSVILUE, MotkUj.
Advice has been received by the Morrinsville Borough Council that its application for £4500 from the Pvblir. Trustee. 10 per cent, additional to the £45.000 waterworks loan, has been approved, and that the money will be available in about two months' time. The council has resolved to take steps to borrow a further £10,000, with which to complete the water scheme. A deputation from the council which waited upon the officials of the .State Advances Office in Wellington was informed that only £5000 • could be lent to any one body*in any one year, and that if it made application for the loan as soon as the poll was carried £5000 ■would be available this vear. and a further £5000 would be lent after 31 next. The deputation was greatlv heloed in its efforts by Mr. F. P. Hockly, M.P., and the council resoked to pass a vote of. appreciation to him for bis assistance.
