PLANS FOR REHABILITATION
BANKERS MEET PRESIDENT. I A and N.Z. NEW YORK, May 27. Seven leading Wall Street bankers have returned from Washington after the first of a series of conferences with the President, Mr. W. G. Harding. They are convinced that the Government desires, above all things, to get out of business. The President is anxious to be shown the road to financial rehabilitation of the country's affairs. The Cabinet is considering tremendous plans for reducing the United States debt and the Allied debt. Mr. J. P. Morgan beaded the bankers. Other industrial and business magnates will be called to a conference at Washington, which will follow. The New York bankers went into all. phases of the foreign and domestic situations, and particularly emphasised the necessity of the United States and European rehabilitation to provide an outlet for the surplus American products. They also considered the helping American agriculture through the aid of banking capital,
