AKABANA DEFENCE CLUB. ) The Akarana Defence Rifle Club' held the last shoot of the season pn Saturday afternoon, for prizes presented by Mrs. A. E. T, DevoTo, Mr, F. W. Strong and the Northern Boiler Mills, to A, B and C sections respectively. Toe ranges-were 600 yds and 700 yds, and some good scores were compiled, Rifleman A. G. 'Devore won A section, and is now level with Rifleman G, &,' Ashley for the championship. ■ In B .section Rifleman C. Ashley wop on lie -counfcback from Riflemap W. Colqulioup, the silver spoon spins tq the last-named on account of Ashley's handicap. E. H.
