Biss, formerly chief postmaster at died at her residence, West- , bourno Road, Remnera, on Saturday at : the age of 76. She was a daughter of - Mrv Alfred Jones, in Auck- ': land in the early days, and six years' after her marriage in vDunedin in 1864, ': '.came, to Auckland when her husband was t appointed chief pcstjhaster. He held this position until his death in 1902. Mrs". Riss was greatly interested "in literature, : '% and for many years contributed to the NewZbalakd Otago Wit- ' ness under the npnde plume of " Jovce Jocelyn." JAMES ROBB. • An old and respected resident of Ones hunga, Mrs. Rpbb, widow of the late Mr. i senr., died on Fridav at ; r a x Me of 88, Mr. and Mrs, Robb kme V to-'«f w Zealand over half a century ago, I residing first in Auckland,and then in - Onehunga, where Mrs. Robb had jived ? ever since, her death occurring at her t residence, Grey Street West. Mr. Robb t pnedeceased her 24 years ago. Mrs. Robb | 1$ survived by a grown-up family of five I: daughters, Mesdames: C. McLeod 2<. i? MacAi-thur, H. Murdoch, D,-Elder,' M'ss Robb, two sons, Messrs. A and J Robb i and 19 grand-children. The interment , took place , yesterday afternoon at St Peters churchyard, Onehunga, a - service . being first held at the residence. The 3 Rev. D. D.
