CHANNEL TUNNEL ADVOCATED A. and N-Z. LONDON. May 13. The British Workers' League passed a resolution in favour of commencing opera t'ions on the Channel tunnel, on river anti-pollution works, the canalisation of South African rivers, the construction of canals and railways in Australia and India, the harnessing of the Nile cataracts, and the construction of a Tunis-Congo railway, which would give employment to millions and open up new markets for British and Allied goods.
