AMBULANCE LECTURES.
Under the auspices of the St. John Ambulance Association, Dr. Tewsley gave a first-aid lecture to the central class at the Ambulance Station cm Wednesday afternoon. There was an even larger attendance than at the previous lecture. In the evening Dr. Reid gave a lecture on "First Aid," to about 30 ladies, who received valuable instruction in practical w»rk from Mrs. Cammell, the lady superintendent, and members cf the National Reserve Nursing Division of the Ambulance Brigade. The lectures to the Girls' Grammar Schools will be commenced as soon as possible after ,the term holidays. The honorary secretary of Auckland centre of ,the association is in communication with those interested in forming branches at Matamata, WhakatantT, Whangarei, Dargavillo, Paerca, and Kai' kohe. A class for ladies "ib being formed at Epsom, and one for men at the Ambulance Station, Rutland Street
