EGG-LAYING CONTEST.

RESULTS AT MT, ALBPRT.

FOURTH WEEK'S PRODUCTION.

The fourth week of the Auckland Poultry- j keepers' Association's th'rd singWpen and egg-laying competition concluded last Monday. There was another increase in production. There are few teams that have not started laying, and the birds look in the pink of condition. Tho leading individuals are A. 'L. Rowland's No. 0 bird and S. H. Scott's No. 1. with 27 eggs each for 28 days, both Indian Eunners. The birds are being judged on standing points this week by the Chief Government Poultry Expert, Mr. F. C. Brown, and the Government Instructor for Auckland, Mr. E. C. Jarrett. Both expressed pleasure at having to judge such a fine array of purebred fowls and ducks. The New Zealand utility standard of perfection will be used in judging the birds. The following are the leading teams, the first four sets of figures being the individual totals to date, the figures in parentheses the weekly total of the 'four birds combined and the last figures the team's total to date: HEAVY BREEDS.
