STOLEN BANK NOTES.
APPEARANCE IN NAPIER. [BY TELEGRAPH. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NAPIER. Thuisday. Several banknotes of a bundle stolen some months ago have been in circulation here during the last couple of days. The notes are some of the 500 Dnion Bank of Australia unsigned notes which disappeared from a mailbag between Wellington and Gisborne. It was believed at the time that the bag was opened on the wharf here or on the Mararoa at the breakwater.
