THE ENGLISH TEAM. TREATMENT IN DOMINION. Just prior to the departure of the English League team from New Zealand some remarks were credited to a member of the team regarding the treatment meted out to them while in the Dominion. A copy was forwarded to Mr. J. Wilson, secretary of the Northern Football Union, and one of the managers of the team, and a reply has been received by the New Zealand League. He Bays he had no time to bother with such " Bcurrilous rubbish," which did not represent the views of any member of the English team. He was surprised to hear that he had said something derogatory of someone or something in New Zealand. The opinion he held and the impressions he formed as the result of his stay in New Zealand regarding the game, its mangement and its future prospects, were so entirely at variance with the remarks credited to him as to make the suggestion ridiouloua.
