PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.
CHRIST CHURCH, ELLERSLIK. The' annual meeting of the parishioners of Christ Church, Ellerslie, was held in the parish hall, the vicar, the Rev. C. L. Tuke, presiding over a record attendance. The annual report disclosed a satisfactory state of affairs. The debt on the vicarage amounting to £50 was paid off, the hall debt i reduced 1 by £50, and £20 was donated to the Children's Home, Richmond Road. It was decided to appoint ,ati executive committee; consisting of one member from each church organisation, with the vicar as chairman. The following officers were elected:—Vicar's warden, Mr. N. Somerh'eld; people's warden, Mr. E. C. Brown ) vestrymen, Messrß. Purchas, Johnson, Roper, Nutt, Hill, Gosset, Ironside, Hoyle, Gumming, and Ralls; auditor. Mr. R. Campbell. At the close of the formal business a welcome social was tendered to lhe new vicar, Rev. C. L. Tuke and family. Mr. E. C. Brown presided, and on behalf of the parishioners extended a hearty welcome. The Rev. E. L. Harvey, of St. Andrew's, Epsom, spoke on behalf of the Auckland clergy.
ALL SAINTS'. BIRKENHEAD. Tlie annual meeting of parishioners of All Saints Church, Birkenhead, was held in the Sunday School room on Thursday evening, the acting vicar, Rev, Kwen Thomas, presiding over a fuir attendance. The annual report showed a satisfactory state of affairs in every way. The following officers were elected :—Vicar's warden, Mr. A. E. Bicknell; people's warden, secretary, and treasurer, Mr, F, H. Woodhouse; committee, Messrs. Hall, Havill, Messenger, Powell. Gribben, and Richmond: auditor, Mr ( , Wallis; organist, Mrs. Steel; choirmaster, Mr, Vincent; Sunday School superintendent, Mr, Gribben.
