HOTSPURS WIN THE FINAL. CLOSELY-CONTESTED GAME. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 22. The Association Cup final, played at Stamford Bridge to-day, was won by Tottenham Hotspurs, who defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers by 1 goal to 0. The King and the Duke of York were present, the attendance being estimated at 73,000, despite -the lack of travelling facilities. Members of the Australian cricket team were present as guests of the association. Heavy rain fell prior to the start of the game, flooding the ground, which in parts became in a very bad condition toward the end of the match.
