NEW STEAMER LAUNCHED.

The Commonwealth Line's new steamer Moreton Bay was launched at "Vickers and Sons' yards at Barrow. Two sister ships are in an advanced stage of construction. It is expected that the Moreton Bay will be completed in September. At a luncheon the general manager of the line, Mr. Larkin, said that with five new ships it was intended to provide a four-weekly service to Australia, via Suez, for goods transport. Sydney ought not to be more than 25 days' voyage from London-
