Tho Now Zealand Golf Association has received' particulars of an international golf championship, instituted by America, on lines somewhat similar to tho Davi9 Gup competitions. Now Zealand lias been invited to tako part in the first compel ition for a trophy presented by a former president, Mr. George H. Walker. The competition will bo played in tho first week in September. Invitations havo also been sont to Britain, Canada, British South Africa, India, Sweden, Norway, France, Belgium, and Spain. Tho tcama arc to consist of four players.
