CASE AGAINST TRAMWAYMEN.
FURTHER ADJOURNMENT GRANTED
An echo of the tramway strike in June last was heard in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, when mention was made of the case in which the Auckland Tramways Union is being prosecuted by the inspector of awards for an alleged breach of the labour Disputes Investigation Act in connection with the stoppage of the trams during the jockeys' dispute. Mr. Hunt represented the inspector of awards, and Mi. Sullivan appeared for the union. Mr. Sullivan applied for an adjournment until March 2. The application was granted by the magistrate, Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., the question of costs being reserved. There have already been several adjournments in this case. It last came before the Court in October.
