"• The presentation, of a gold medal to Miss Dorothy Arnold, who. gained first plasa in the Auckland Hospital nursing examinations held last November, was mada by the chairman of the Hospital Board, Mr. W. Wallace. He complimented Miss Arnold upon having gained the. proud distinction, not only of having been the most successful of the nurses wha entered for the local examination, but also of having been first in the Dominion in "the examinations held in - December. He hoped she would continue her werk, which was the most noble and humane that » young lady could undertake. Miss H. Sutherland, who was sec* ond in the Auckland examination, was the recipient of the board'e book prize.
