PACIFIC CABLE TRAFFIC.
A REMARKABLE INCREASE. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE, Dec. 24. During the past 12 months there has been a marked increase in the traffic over the Pacific cable, as' compared with last year. The total number of words paid for was 9.084,745, an increase of 755,169 words. The Press cablegrams increased ] from 595 53' words to 816,576 words.
