MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Hauraki Mines.—The No. 2 stope in the intermediate drive on Legge's reef is 50ft. south of the winze, and has reached the end of the block. No. 3 stope ha 3 been started. Tha reef at present is in two portions, but the country is favourable tor gold. The winze being sunk below this drive i 3 down 30ft.. and at both breaking downs during the week pieces of picked stone and strong blotches ol gold were obtained. The reef is about 12in. in width, and continues to dip at a very flat angle. Driving towards the Welcome Find section is in progress, the country at present being somewhat hard.
