TROUNSON KAURI PARK.

[BY TELEGRAPH-.— OWS CORRESPONDENT.] DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. The Prime Minister writes to the Northern Wairoa Scenic Club as follows :-—" In connection with the official opening of Trounson Kauri Park I communicated with the Governor-General and am now in receipt, of a. reply from Lord Jellicoe in which he intimates he will be pleased to open the park, provided the date of the ceremony can be altered. His Excellency will leave Auckland on January 27 for Lake Taupo and in view of the arrival of ILM.S. Chatham at Auckland on January 24 wishes to be in that city between January 22 and 27. The Governor-General will therefore be able to open the park providing he is enabled to arrive back in Auckland on or before January 21." 'The Scenic Club kst night decided to ask Mr. Massey for a later date during February or March as many people are away for the vacation in January.
