Very little interest was taken today by borough ratepayers in the poll on the proposal to raise a loan of £S3CO for the purpose of improving roads, opening op the metal quarry, crushing plant %tc Only 34 votes were cast for the proposal and the same number against it Unde section 10 of the Local Elections and Polk Act lots were drawn, and the draw Wen 't. against the loan, which was defeated inere was one informal vote.
