WHAXGAREI DEPUTATIONS. [BT TELEGRAPH.— OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Wednesday. A number of deputations waited upon the Minister Tor Public Works, Hon. J. G. Coates, last night. Th e question of a new railway station and better communication between Wbangarei and Onerahi in tfae afternoons was brought to the notice of Mr. Coates, who promised to brine these matters before the Minister for Kail ways. Mr. \V. Jones, chairman of the Whangare! County Council, mentioned a number of county needs in regard to roads and bridges, and several other deputations interviewed the Minister with reference to similar matters. In reply, Mr. Coates pointed out that the amount of work that could be done depended upon the money available. He undertook to look into all the matters brought before his notice.
