ALLEGED- SHOP-LIFTING.

TWO SISTERS CHARGED. Six charges of theft extending over a period of four months, were preferred against two young women, Stella. Boulton, aged 17, and Kitty Cordelia Reynolds, p.ged 22, who appeared before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. The elder of the two, who are sisters, is a married woman with one child. Mr. Singer appeared for accused. Accused were each charged with the theft of two crepe-de-chine dresses, valued at £14, "the' property of Rendells, Limited, on December 21 ; three pairs of gloves, a cigarette case, and other articles, of a total value of £3 Bs, the property of George Court, Limited, on December 21 : a pushcart at Devonport on or about August. 8; a pair of shoes on or about November 17; a lady's shorts coat on December 17 ; and a lady's handbag and about £1 10s in cash, of a total value of £5, on December 10. Mrs. Reynolds was further charged with having stolen a lady's wristlet watch. ■ Both women were remanded until December 28. Bail was allowed, in one surety of £25 each.
