AUCKLAND CENTRE SPORTS.
The committee of the Auckland Amateur Athletio and Cycle Club, in order to foster athletics, will hold a sports meeting at, the , Remuera, hockey ground on Saturday afternoon, when the following: varied programme i will bo decided:—lOOYds., 220 yds., 440 yds., I half-mile, mile and 100 yds. novice, half-mile ; junior cycle and one and two-miles open ! cycle handicaps. Long jump, high jump, I 120 yds. hurdle race, and 100 yds. primary j school handicap for boys under 15 years j complete the list. A medal will be given i to the competitor scoring the most placed j point*. Nominations close at five o'clock ! on Wednesday at the Sports Club, or will be taken by Messrs. N. G. Boyd. IS. Wel- , lesley Street West, and W. Morton, 7, Dnr- ! ham Street West. The committee has de- ! cided that admission will be by silver coin.
