SEQUEL TO COLLISION.
MOTORIST AWARDED DAMAGES.
Judgment was given by Mr. V. C*. Cutten, 6.M., at the Magistrate's Coir t in the case of A. T. Bell (Mr. A. F. Skelton) v. Norman Urquhart (Mi Lowry), a claim- for £178 !3s damage* as the result of defendant's cart coUid*ne with plaintiff's motor-car at College Hi!! on August 6. The defendant put in n counter-claim for £74 Is 6d for lo*r- of Ins horse and damages to his cart, harness. etc., in consequence of the collision. *i i.;r plaintiff alleged that defendant's cart was being driven on the ride of tiie road at tho time the accident occurred The magistrate said that on the evidence lio was satisfied the accident was cau-ed by defendant's servant cither drivinc the cart on the wrong side of College Hill or crossing that street at th« wrong angle. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £153 13? and costs. He also gave judgment For Bell on the counter-claim with costs.
