CYCLIST KILLED.
COLLISION WITH MOTOR-CAB. : [BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] MASTTCRTON, Friday. A collision occurred early «ast evening, near Masterton, between a motor-car and a cyclist, which resulted in the death of the latter, a butcher, named John Cooper aged 51 years. The motor-car, driven by an official of the Public Trust Office, when proceeding south along High Street, encountered the cyclist. A collision followed. The cyclist was violently thrown from his machine ,and fell beneath the front wheels of the car. He was conveyed to the hospital 'with all haste, but died at 1.15 this morning without regaining consciousness. Deceased formerly resided in Auckland, and only recently came to this district.
