Funds are exhausted, and the Government is unable to purchase food abroad. The country cannot carry on for more than two months. The Chancellor. Herr Mayer, has called a meeting of" foreign representa* tives and members of the rations Commission for to-morrow. He will explain the situation and appeal to them to make a last effort to save the country. He says that if the Powers cannot help the Government will resign and request the Reparations Commission to administer the country.
