SHIPPING OFFICERS' GUILD.

A conference of delegates of the Shipping Officers' Guild of New Zealand was held in Wellington this week, the conference being attended by representatives from all over the Dominion. The conference confirmed the rules and constitution of the guild and elected the following officers President, Mr. A. D. Bayfield ; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. J. O'Meara (Auckland), L. W. H. Jones (Wellington), M. W. Horton (Ehinedin), and W. Charters (Christchurch); executive council, Messrs. O. Callow, F. Tyson, F. C Yates W. H. C. Wilcox, D. Binnie, J. n' Barnes, M O. Stewart, and C.
