TAURANGA, Thursday. The Bay of Plenty Jockey Club held their annual race meeting at the Gate Pah course to-day. The weather was threatening, but otherwise the gathering was brought oft under favourable conditions. There was a large attendance, including numerous visitors from Auckland. Tabasco set out to make the pace, and he piloted the field along the back stretch, lhree furlongs from home Scrap o' Paper and Royal Irish moved to the front, berap o'' Paper led into the. straight, although Hoyfil Irish made a bold bid. Scrap o' Paper held his advantage and won by three lengths Royal Iri.-;h was two lengths in front of Guianform. Time, 2m. 9 3-ss. Scrap o' Paper was favourite.
